Review of New Years Eve:
THE Windmill Music News Flash New Years Eve 12-31-09 A Happy and Healthy New Years to one and all. What a fun time at the Windmill New Years Eve. Carole Urban played solo to a packed bar that was filled with people who enjoy good fun and good music. Urbanetts Joan and Candy put out a great spread for all to enjoy. Many of Carole’s regular followers helped usher in 2010 under a special New Years Eve full blue moon. Those regulars in attendance were Joan, Candy, Carol, Noel, Joyce, Judy, Tony. Special guest appearance of Bert and Willie. Staff people, Nadine and Terry, along with the waitresses. And also to all those unknowns who pop in, listen to a few songs, dance a few steps, drink a few sips and once again pop out. It was fun because one could wear a silly hat and make funny noises and no one would complain. One could rub elbows both with friends and strangers who all look to the future that the New Year will bring better things. It is that special time when we can also think back to friends and family who are no longer with us. It is the memory of them that makes this one night special for each of us in our own hearts. Because they are remembered they are with us. Many of Carole’s songs hold a different recollection of a special memorable event from the past for each of us. On this special night Carole’s live music and interaction with her audience created new memories of laughing, dancing and partaking of liquid refreshment with good friends. Ah!, yes they will be good memories and hopefully there will be many more to come. Carole, Full blue moon, and friends to bring in 2010. Thanks Rudy. Tuff Tony Stratford CT! March 06 2009 review Once again Carole Urban ,lead singer for the Urban Legends Band, played to a packed house at the *** Friday night. Along with Carole was Brian on drums and Domenic on bass. It was a great medley of 70s rock along with several new songs. This versatile group entertained not only with measured music but with the interjection of spontaneous humor that had the audience clapping for more. One could easily see the performance electricity between Carole and drummer Brian. To round out the performance Domenic was the background anchor to this pleasantly entertaining trio. Don't forget to check out Carole's website for additional local gigs and of course don't miss her regularly scheduled gig each first Friday of the month at the****. Join her and the band on April 3 at 9pm. Come earlier for the mills' famous discount dinner or just enjoy one of Nadine's famous hot dogs. Staff reporter, Tony
