 Music News Flash

What a jamming night at the Pit Stop last Saturday night, January 23, 2010, with Carole Urban and her band.  Dominic Zullo on bass and Malcolm Palm on drums.  Three talent entertainers made for one happy night of live music.  One is never sure if you will hear Bonnie Tyler’s version of, “It’s a Heartache,” or Carole Urban’s version that requires listeners over 21. In any case it is all good fun when you experience live music. Glow sticks added to the fun.

Many regular members of the Urbanettes were on hand to lend support to their favorite band.  Joan, Candy, Noel, Sherry, Judy and a surprise appearance by Cheryl, “Electric Boobs” and of course this writer.

A band night at the Pit Stop is not complete until you savor an order of their special honey or hot wings.  Good down to earth bar grub served by a delightful staff.  “Alcohol is the anesthesia by which we endure the operation of life.” George Bernard Shaw.

The next gala event for the Carole Urban Legends Band will be at the Topside in Milford on February 20th.  Hope to see you there.

Photobucket Tuff Tony's Review of the brickhouse: Music News Flash January 16 2010 What a pleasant, fun filled evening at the Brickhouse in Derby coupled with good music and good food. Once again Carole Urban proved that she can sing and play to young and old alike. She started the evening with a medley of songs that were suitable to an older dinner crowd while she slowly built to music that appealed to a younger beer crowd. Before the gig was over people were dancing under the Brickhouse light show. Once again Carole Urban demonstrated her versatile ability to entertain people and make them forget their cares and worries. Some of the Carole Urban “Urbanettes” were in attendance including President Joan, Carol, Candy, Sherry, Judy and of course this writer. The evening surprise was 6 ½ year old American Idol wannabe, Anthony, who danced the last hour with abandon to Carole’s music. Ah!, unlimited youthful energy. Don’t miss Carole Urban and her band at the Pit Stop in Milford on January 23, 9-1AM. Another chance to enjoy the Pit Stop’s famous honey wings and good live music. Tuff Tony
